Fraser Eagle Group has expanded its independent travel shop business – Fraser Eagle Worldchoice – by opening a second outlet. The company has introduced the new shop at its purpose-built £1.8million group headquarters on Shuttleworth Mead Business Park. The company already has a successful independent travel shop in Accrington that specialises in all aspects of UK and foreign travel. But Fraser Eagle is hoping the new store will attract employees from neighboring businesses on Shuttleworth Mead and the nearby Altham Business Park. “An out-of-town travel shop, which enjoys excellent motorway links, will benefit those customers who don’t want to go into a busy town centre,” says Steve Sowerbutts, operations director of Fraser Eagle Worldchoice. “There are thousands of people employed right on our doorstep and for most of them the only time they can go and look for a holiday is at the weekend. “Our new travel shop will allow people who work in the area to come and book a holiday before work or during their lunch break.” As well as the new travel shop, this weekend also saw the first use of Fraser Eagle’s new departure lounge. The facility has enabled the group’s Coaching & Tours operation to enhance its renowned free Door to Door service, which sees customers collected at home by car and taken home again at the end of their holiday. Customers are served tea, coffee and other refreshments in the comfortable surroundings of the departure lounge while their luggage is loaded onto their waiting coach. “We’re always trying to enhance our service and we see the departure lounge as an innovative way of allowing our customers to relax before their journey,” says Howard Tyrer, managing director of Fraser Eagle Coaching and Tours. “This weekend saw our first use of the lounge by customers departing on a five-day coach holiday to the English Riviera and we’ve had some excellent feedback.” Notes to Editors
