Wednesday 21 May, 2008 Fraser Eagle Driving Academy becomes an approved Driver CPC Training centre
Passenger transport and logistics group Fraser Eagle is delighted to announce that JAUPT (Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training) have confirmed Fraser Eagle Driving Academy as an approved Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training centre.
Fraser Eagle Driving Academy will provide Driver CPC Periodic Training in order to contribute to continuous learning and development for professional drivers within the coaching industry.
The Driver CPC will become compulsory for all PCV and LGV drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK.
It is being developed as a requirement of the EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional LGV and PCV drivers throughout their working life. ‘‘Due to the broad expertise and experience within the coaching industry, Fraser Eagle has an in depth understanding of professional drivers’ needs and requirements in terms of continuous growth and development.
Therefore, Fraser Eagle Driving Academy will offer the required development, regulatory refresh and care’’ says Kevin Dean, Group Managing Director of Fraser Eagle.
Fraser Eagle Driving Academy will also act as a consultancy in order to provide advice and assistance to coach operators in the fulfillment of their regulatory obligations for Driver CPC and will deliver training schedules tailored around the requirements of the coach operators, either on site at operators premises or at Fraser Eagle’s headquarters, located conveniently off the M65 in Padiham, Burnely.
