Lights Out Lancashire aims to create a landmark event in the North West's green future by encouraging businesses and individuals across the county to switch of all non-essential lights for one hour at 11am and 6pm on Friday 29 February. "Lights Out Lancashire is all about plunging the county into darkness to make a statement about our commitment to saving energy and helping the environment, and so we are fully behind it," says Paul McCarthy, Fraser Eagle's Director of Central Services. "It's our chance to come together and show the rest of the UK we mean business when it comes to climate control," adds Paul who is also a member of Fraser Eagle's Environment Group. As well as its UK staff, Fraser Eagle will also be encouraging its employees in Malta to switch off non-essential lights on the big day. Other supporters of Lights Out Lancashire include Blackburn Rovers, The Mall and Lancashire County Council. |
