Business Continuity Awards 2007 - Winner Most Effective Recovery
In May 2007 Fraser Eagle received the Most Effective Recovery at the 2007 Business Continuity Awards in London.
The award was in recogniton of the emergency managed transport services the company provided to Virgin Trains in the wake of the the Grayrigg train derailment in February of the same year.
The derailment closed the part of the West Coast Main Line for over two weeks, but Fraser Eagle kept passengers moving by organising a two-week road transport operation that carried some 142,000 passengers in total.
The Business Continuity Awards are run by Continuity Insurance and Risk, a leading journal for the business continuity industry.
Age Positive Award 2006 - North West Winner
In 2006 Fraser Eagle won the Age Positive Award for the North West of England for promoting age diversity in the workplace.
The Age Positive Awards are run by the Department for Work and Pensions to promote the benefits of employing a mixed-age workforce.
Judges were looking for companies that vigorously challenge ageism by employing workers of all ages.
Fraser Eagle abolished its compulsory retirement age of 65 at the beginning of 2005 and actively encourages staff who want to continue working past retirement.
New positions are open to people of any age and all staff are encouraged to develop through training regardless of age.
